How many people do you know say, “one day I will……”? It strange how many people spend more time planning their summer holiday than planning their future. Even self-starters can sometimes get bogged down on the day-to-day business and not see the wood for the trees. Sometimes you just don’t know where to begin. Two of our favourite quotes are “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” and “How do you eat an elephant? One slice at a time”.
Sometimes there is a catalyst to make you take that step or eat that slice. It may be redundancy, difficult times or simply the stress of success. We would suggest the best time to get advice is ideally before you need it! What would your mouth be like if you never had your teeth checked?
Health check-
A service we offer is a business health check. This isn’t simply looking at the accounts (although we would do that), but examining the integral parts of your business to see, from an experienced outside perspective, what you may have missed or what you may care to develop. Accountants are great at telling you what you probably already know, what costs what, but if they were business people they would be running a business. We have run several successful businesses and now look to use that knowledge to support you.
